New Mexico life insurance state regulations

Basic state regulations:

  • In New Mexico, these should be made upon receipt of proof of death, and finalized within two months.
  • Misstatements on policies or applications can be grounds for policy cancellation.
  • Misstatement of age will usually only result in the recalculation of benefits (based on the actual age of the insured).
